ARC Academy UK were humbled to attend the Lighthouse Club South Wales Annual Dinner which took place in Cardiff Marriott hotel on Friday 5th October 2018.
Alongside ARC were some of the construction industry’s leading organisations including WDL Homes, Tom Pritchard, Cambrian Plant, Walters, Rob Morris and Perssimon Homes, side by side, in aid of a phenomenal Construction Industry Charity that serves to financially and emotionally support people within the construction community in times of crisis.
During the event which was held at Marriott Hotel Cardiff, merriment and fine dining was served with a cherry on top in the form of comedian Nina Gillingham, who served up a dish of razor sharp off-quips targeted at a number of unsuspecting diners.
Not to be forgotten amidst such entertainment was the purpose of the event, which was to raise awareness for what is an undeniablly worthwile cause which significantly contributes to individuals within communities across the UK.
Last year alone, the Lighthouse Construction Industry Helpline supported 1524 families in crisis, and 449 construction families received a total of £736,625 in emergency financial aid. 1075 cases related to mental health and wellbeing advice, debt management and tax support and legal assistance.
In addition to providing support in times of crisis, the Lighthouse Construction Industry Helpline also offers access to advice on occupational health and mental wellbeing, as well as support on legal, tax and debt management matters.
